So today sped up pretty quickly, of course. It started with a blog, and it shall end with a blog, even if technically it’s already tomorrow.
First things first: After the first blog o’ tha day, we caught up with Jessica to see about a little lunchy lunch. That’d be at about 12:00ish. Turns out she was heading out to the Carnivale in where-ever-the-heck, the bus to which was cheesing it at 2:00. So we hurried (aka we waited for a while, then took off at 12:40ish) to Cafe Roggi, a swanky little so-and-so with food, ice cream, and lattes.
We wrapped that up and parted ways: Jessica heading to Carnivale, John and I walking back downhill to the center.
Since the Carnivale lasted till 5:00ish, we were eventless for a while. I slept, I think. Not worth talking about.
I woke up around 5:30, ready to work dinner again. So I did that whole thing. We had a bit of a hectic night, rife with mixed communications and a little bit of heated discussion. But all in all, easy peasy lemon breesy.
After trashing and grabbing a latte from the cafe, I headed up to where the peeps were assembled. We stalled around and shared musical taste and then John decided it was bedtime.
Cue the sorpresa.
Very surreptitiously, Jessica planted a Happy Birthday card/platter of cookies/coke and such on John’s bed while they were group meeting elsewhere. When John left to go to bed, we just waited, just to see what he’d do.
Just as Jessica and I were considering that he could quite easily not turn on the lights and accidentally surprise all over himself, John showed back up to thank everyone. So he enjoyed it, that’s a good thing, yes?
And now everyone’s asleep, except me. I should probably wrap this rap up.
Catch you on the opposite side,
Charles
Oh look, a “first” comment. I think I win at life. It’s not debatable.
I just wanted to say that the SEnteNCE (does that count?) “Just as Jessica and I were considering that he could quite easily not turn on the lights and accidentally surprise all over himself, John showed back up to thank everyone” is superb and gave me quite a good laugh.
Will it even tell you if I respond here? I haven’t the slightest.
I’d never debate that you “think” you win. Think away.
And no, that doesn’t quite count. However, bonus points for creativity.
I live to please. Or I’m a dork. Either way.
No, it didn’t actually, but by chance I still had your blog open in a tab.
Both, I’d say.
