Nothing new has happened.
But…
I figured some of you out there in TVland (or Blogland, whichever you prefer) might like to see the world from a perspective that doesn’t (technically) belong to someone related to you.
So, without further ado:
I know they’re not as artsy as a certain someone’s (*cough*cough*Jess*cough*cough*), but I humbly submit them for your viewing enjoyment.
Ciao for now.
Charles
Nothing new? Really? Are you sure???? Technically??
I hope Jessa told you Happy Birthday for me ’cause I told her to! By the way, I like your ‘v’ mask photo!
As an aside, my aunt and uncle (Sue and Jim Cook) live on Tripp and my grandmother, Mildred Bradley lived on Louis Lane forever and then off Bell in assisted living before moving in with my mom. So, see? We have lots of ties to Amarillo! Tell your folks hello! And truly, it was very nice to meet you!
Oh, and we used to attend Paramount Community Church probably 30 years ago!
Everything is technically, technically.
She most certainly did. There were Kinder Eggs involved, hahaha.
I happen to have a mancrush on V. The movie itself is borderline iffy, but it serves as the backdrop for V’s character, so by default…
We live a little off of Bell too, actually…kind of around Medi-Park, which could be about the area you’re talking about. (How weird would that be…
I’m assuming Paramount Community Church became Paramount Terrace Christian Church at some point? Now it’s Hillside Community Church, and is quite huge.
It was a pleasure to meet you as well.
Verily.
Sorry, but I had to put my two cents in. What Elaine (I call her Christy) failed to say is that I, the Grandmama, also lived on Lewis Lane, and graduated from Tascosa High School and MY grandmother, Jessa’s great-great, graduated from Amarillo High. I know the Medi-Park area - very pretty and would love to walk around that park. And no, Paramount Community disbanded and the church is now Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home - it’s just a few blocks off 34th. Nice to sort of meet you, Charles. I enjoy your blog - you write very well!
Many thanks, Julie aka Grandmama. It is my pleasure to sort of meet you as well.
Don’t apologize for putting in two cents. If no one ever put any cents in, this whole thing would be…centsless. (Jess will tell me “You’re dumb.” for that one later, I can tell.)
I get the feeling Paramount Community Church was just a few years before my time…
I too, was a Rebel, though I never put much stock in the whole “high school spirit” thing, for whatever reason. But it does make for an interesting connection.
Perhaps someday we’ll actually meet, hahaha.
