End Week

It’s true.

Call it the end of studio.

Today studio ended.

We made our final presentation, and walked away from studio.

But that’s the end of the story.

This story begins, as these stories often do, with an all nighter.

Monday: Paper for Paolo due Tuesday morning. Italian homework due Tuesday afternoon.

The homework, the paper, and the trying to help Jess keep motivated netted me a sweet 2ish hours of sleep. On a couch in the lounge. (Someone decided my bed was better than theirs. (Actually, someone else had occupied someone’s bed, and since it was 4am I decided against rousing them for a couple of hours of sleep.)

So Tuesday day was spent sleeplessly running through Paolo’s class, lunch, Italian, studio, and dinner.

After dinner, I was treated to a bit of secondhand information, which at this point we consider the norm. Turns out our boards theoretically due Thursday are now due Wednesday morning. Schweet. We grouptrudge our way through a fantastic design (we personally love it to death…everything just seemed to click) and wrap up in time to net about 4ish hours of sleep.

Cue Wednesday. Field trip to Perugia. Early bus, nearly overslept (thanks Jess), made it, scooted to the most boring museum this side of Tax Form City. Fought the urge to collapse on the museum floor.

Left museum, had lunch. Cheeseburger with frenchfries and ketchup. Latte for dessert. Almost done.

Walked back to bus stop. Bought Kinder eggs. Lost to Jess again. Waited for bus. Slept on bus.

Returned to the center. Uploaded project boards to the group website (see Projects). (I’m a member of BFD, FYI.)

Dinner, I think. Sleep of some sort, after another round of Italian homework.

Thursday starts off two minutes before Paolo’s class. Paolo, lunch, Italian (complete with a test which unbeknownst to me covered three chapters instead of one), clean up studio a tad.

Then, the presentations. Kinda rough. Unclear guidelines + uninformed reviewers = mass criticism. Overall though, apparently good.

Then dinner. Then Phase 10 with some peeps. Then we hit up the Velvet for a few celebratory drinks. Bailey’s, that is.

Back to center. Everwood. Blogging.

Charles

P.S. Sorry for the carp update. Kinda been a heck of a week.

Bless your heart! :) I’m thoroughly glad it’s all over. For both of you! And trust me when I say that I know a little bit about keeping Jessa motivated and know even more about trying to get that kid ANYWHERE, on time! Good luck with that, by the way, ’cause as much as I love her, you have a rough haul in front of ya! :) (love you little girl!) I hope you enjoy the rest of your time there and here’s hoping you’ll score that magical of kinder eggs and whoop her butt! J mom
