A perfectly worky title.
Life is still slowing down. Post-Italy, the slow down was inevitable. Days are limping along. Limping, I say.
In other words, I have no real news/rambles for this update, other than the whole “countering boredom” thing.
On the positive side, we finally got the hot tub up and running. So now we’re all fancy. It’s a five+ish person affair, with a waterfallish thingy, currently non-functioning lights, and a schnazzy pneumatic cover-er. All in all, pretty dang nifty. Across from that is the 2.5 megaton granite slab-of-a-table that nearly claimed the well being of myself, Ben, Ben’s brother Marshall, and my father. Wherever we ended up putting it, it’s staying there. Forever.
My cousin Shaun and I had an epic 2-minute-halves soccer extravaganza the other day. (PS3 demo) I was France, he was Germany, and it took 7 4-minute games to determine a winner. If I hadn’t scored on myself in the 5th game, I could have won then, instead of tieing by making a legitimate point. Besides that 1-1, the rest were 0-0 matches, proving that soccer is only fun if you’re playing in 2 minute increments.
I’ve played some Halo 3 with Ben and Marshall, and apparently 3 months isn’t enough to completely sap all skill. Like falling off a bike, I say. In other words: “MALE SIBLINGS OF JESSICA BE WARNED.” Or something. Watch me talk big and get trounced. On purpose. ha HA!
Also in Videogameland, we’ve played some Super Smash Bros. Brawl lately. Not too shabby, I must say. (Super Sonic, woohoo!) Besides nerfing a few of my better characters, I’d say it’s a definite improvement over the second. (Yes, nerfing. It’s a legitimate term.)
I’ll nerd out more later.
Charles
